Positive regulation of meiotic DNA double-strand break formation by activation of the DNA damage checkpoint kinase Mec1(ATR) [PDF]
During meiosis, formation and repair of programmed DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) create genetic exchange between homologous chromosomes-a process that is critical for reductional meiotic chromosome segregation and the production of genetically diverse ...

Annexin A13 Protects Against Acute Kidney Injury by Inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 Signaling
ANXA13 is negatively regulated by Smad3 and exerts its protective role in AKI by inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 signaling and Smad3‐p21 cell cycle arrest pathway through binding to TβRI, inhibiting the interaction between TβRI and TβRII, thereby suppressing TβRI phosporylation.

8-oxoguanine (oxoG) is formed in DNA by the action of reactive oxygen species. As a highly mutagenic and the most common oxidative DNA lesion, it is an important marker of oxidative stress. Human 8-oxoguanine-DNA glycosylase (OGG1) is responsible for its

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.

Application of PCR-DGGE in determining food origin : cases studies of fish and fruits [PDF]
The determination of geographical origin is a demand of the traceability system of import-export food products. For this purpose, molecular techniques employing 16S, 26S rDNA profiles generated by PCR-DGGE (polymerase chain reaction - denaturing gradient
