Properties of Maxentropic DNA Synthesis Codes
Low-weight codes have been proposed for efficiently synthesizing deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) for massive data storage, where a multiple of DNA strands are synthesized in parallel. We report on the redundancy and information rate of maxentropic low-weight codes for asymptotically large codeword length. We compare the performance of low-complexity nibble

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

DNA watermarks in non-coding regulatory sequences
Background DNA watermarks can be applied to identify the unauthorized use of genetically modified organisms. It has been shown that coding regions can be used to encrypt information into living organisms by using the DNA-Crypt algorithm.

A Highly Sensitive Plant Hybrid Protein Assay System Based on the \u3cem\u3eSpm\u3c/em\u3e Promoter and TnpA Protein for Detection and Analysis of Transcription Activation Domains [PDF]
TnpA is a multifunctional DNA binding protein encoded by the maize Suppressor-mutator (Spm) transposable element. TnpA is required for transposition and is a repressor of the unmethylated Spm promoter.

Improved Lower Bounds for Constant GC-Content DNA Codes
The design of large libraries of oligonucleotides having constant GC-content and satisfying Hamming distance constraints between oligonucleotides and their Watson-Crick complements is important in reducing hybridization errors in DNA computing, DNA ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
