A hypervariable pig DNA fragment

Animal Genetics, 1990
Summary A new hypervariable tandem repeat was isolated from the pig genome and characterized by DNA sequence. The use of this DNA fragment as a probe in order to follow allelic segregation and DNA fingerprinting in pigs, horses and rabbits is documented.

Nucleosomal DNA Fragments in Autoimmune Diseases

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2006
Abstract:  The inadequate response of immune cells to circulating apoptotic products, such as nucleosomal DNA fragments, is assumed to be a potent stimulus for the production of autoantibodies during the pathogenesis and progression of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Here, we analyzed the levels of circulating nucleosomes, caspases, and C‐reactive

Subcloning of DNA Fragments

Current Protocols in Molecular Biology, 1991
AbstractThe essence of recombinant DNA technology is the joining of two or more separate segments of DNA to generate a single DNA molecule that is capable of autonomous replication in a given host. The simplest constructions of hybrid DNA molecules involve the cloning of insert sequences into plasmid or bacteriophage cloning vectors.

Sperm DNA Fragmentation and Fertility

Elevated levels of sperm deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) fragmentation (SDF) have been associated with several adverse reproductive outcomes, including: lower natural and assisted reproductive technology (ART) pregnancy rates, abnormal embryo development, and recurrent pregnancy loss.

PCR fragmentation of DNA.

Biochemistry. Biokhimiia, 1999
A method has been developed to prepare random DNA fragments using PCR. First, two cycles are carried out at 16 degrees C with the Klenow's fragment and oligonucleotides (random primers) with random 3'-sequences and the 5'-constant part containing the site for cloning with the site-specific endonuclease.
