Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

Mechanical Caging of Nucleic Acids Enabled by Light‐Activated Synthetic Molecular Motors
A synthetic light‐driven molecular motor imposes mechanical constraints on nucleic acids, enabling “mechanical caging” as a new mode to regulate DNA structure and function through mechanical input rather than chemical masking. ABSTRACT Control over nucleic acid activity is central to biotechnology and therapeutic development.

Quantifying Structure‐Dependent Rigidity of 3D DNA Origami Boxes
We investigate the mechanical stability of a hollow 3D DNA origami box during assembly using liquid AFM imaging and finite element simulations. As structural completeness increases from flat sheets through intermediate assemblies to a closed box, rigidity improves.

This review highlights an emerging anticancer approach integrating platinum agents into photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT) systems, further augmented by cancer cell membrane‐ and organelle‐targeting. By directing photoactivated platinum complexes from nontargeted distribution to cancer cells or defined subcellular sites ...

Modified 2’‐deoxy‐7‐deazaadenosine bearing a chlorohexyl moiety and 2’‐deoxycytidine nucleotides bearing biotin were used in the enzymatic synthesis of dually modified dsDNAs that served as scaffolds for display of halotag and monomeric streptavidin proteins.

pH‐Driven Actuation of Unmodified DNA Origami Rectangles
Unmodified DNA origami rectangles exhibit a reversible transition between planar and tubular states driven by near‐neutral pH changes. This behavior arises from crossover‐mediated mechanical coupling of overwound DNA and extends to dimers and nanoribbons, enabling the formation of nanotube architectures without added motifs or chemical modification ...
