DNA Topology in Halobacteria

1991
Inhibitors of eubacterial and eucaryotic DNA topoisomerases II induce topological changes and/or DNA cleavage in the plasmids of halobacteria. As in eubacteria, novobiocin halts DNA replication and induces positive supercoiling of plasmids in halobacteria.

[The topology of circular DNA].

Annales de genetique, 1978
A non-orientable structure, said Möbius stripe, is proposed for certain types of circular DNA. This structure could account for particular forms, such as dimers, double length molecules, or catenans which are molecules topologically interwomen.

The topology of nucleosomal DNA

2015
The nucleosome, the main structural fold of eukaryotic chromatin, is far from being the well-defined and inert histone-DNA complex depicted in most textbooks. On one side, nucleosome particles are very heterogeneous due to differences in DNA base-pair sequence, histone variants and their multiple biochemical modifications.
