Fabrication of a Lipopolysaccharide‐Targeting Peptide‐Based Colloid for Alleviating Carbapenem‐Resistant Enterobacteriaceae‐Induced Cutaneous Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a novel cationic peptide, IW is designed and synthesized, with a tandem‐repeat sequence demonstrating potent activities against a broad spectrum of clinically relevant Carbapenem‐resistant Enterobacteriaceae in both the planktonic and biofilm states. IW is then formulated with P407 to form IW‐P407 colloids.

Mechanism of action of VP1-001 in cryAB(R120G)-associated and age-related cataracts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
PurposeWe previously identified an oxysterol, VP1-001 (also known as compound 29), that partially restores the transparency of lenses with cataracts. To understand the mechanism of VP1-001, we tested the ability of its enantiomer, ent-VP1-001, to bind ...

Saliency based Semi-supervised Learning for Orbiting Satellite Tracking [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The trajectory and boundary of an orbiting satellite are fundamental information for on-orbit repairing and manipulation by space robots. This task, however, is challenging owing to the freely and rapidly motion of on-orbiting satellites, the quickly varying background and the sudden change in illumination conditions.
