Singular stress occurs at the vertex of interface in three-dimensional joint structures under an external force and a temperature variation. It is very important to estimate the intensity of singularity for evaluating the strength of joints.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The hybrid boundary-integral equation and finite-element method (BIE/FEM) is efficient for signal/power integrity analysis of multiple vias in a shared antipad (labeled as compact vias) in an arbitrarily shaped power/ground plate pair. According to field

Analysis of a Microstrip Wide Band Antenna by Solving Volume-Surface Integral Equations [PDF]
In this paper, a method based on hybrid Volume-Surface Integral Equation (VSIE) formulation in combination with Green's Function is presented to analyze a wide band planar microstrip antenna. Hybrid volume-surface Mixed Potential Integral Equation (MPIE)

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A natural boundary element method for the Sobolev equation in the 2D unbounded domain
In this article, we devote ourselves to establishing a natural boundary element (NBE) method for the Sobolev equation in the 2D unbounded domain. To this end, we first constitute the time semi-discretized super-convergence format for the Sobolev equation

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
