Thyroid hormones in donkey blood and milk: correlations with milk yield and environmental temperatures [PDF]
Thyroid hormones (TH) are the primary endocrine stimulators of non-shivering thermogenesis and are known to stimulate lactation. Triiodothyronine (T3) is the bioactive form, mainly derived by deiodination of thyroxine (T4), and the free quote (unbound to

This study reports the development of a fully humanized bispecific T cell engager targeting IL13RA2, a tumor‐associated antigen enriched in glioblastoma. This off‐the‐shelf immunotherapy drives potent, antigen‐dependent T cell activation and tumor killing, and prolongs survival in experimental GBM and other solid tumors models without detectable off ...

Strategies to improve the livestock farming system in Chiredzi, South East Lowveld of Zimbabwe [PDF]
In the current context of hyperinflation and economical failure in Zimbabwe, the cattle represent a refuge value for the main stakeholders. The main consequence is an important stocking of cattle (high increase of the cattle population) and an over ...

Hypoallergenic properties of donkey's milk: a preliminary study.
Cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) is an abnormal immunological response to cow milk proteins, which results in IgE-mediated reactions. The therapeutic strategy to respond to CMPA envisages the total elimination of milk or the administration of cow's milk substitutes. For this reason the use of milk from other mammalian species was tested.

This study identifies that methylglyoxal may play an important role in heart‐brain interactions after myocardial infarction. Myocardial infarction leads to increased levels of methylglyoxal‐derived advanced glycation end‐products (MG‐H1) in the brain of mice, which is associated with loss of blood‐brain barrier integrity and neuroinflammation ...

Laterally spreading tumors (LSTs) are precancerous colorectal lesions characterized by a flat morphology. This study reveals a mechanochemical pathway through which a soft matrix microenvironment diminishes spatial constraints in intestinal adenomas. This process promotes deficiencies in tight junction proteins, mediated by the mechanoreceptor ADORA2B ...

Preserving Mediterranean Donkeys: A Study on Milk Production and Nutritional Benefits
The aim of the study was to model lactation curves and assess the physicochemical properties, amino acid, and fatty acid profiles of milk from two Mediterranean donkey populations, Masri (n = 14) and North African (n = 14), using the Wood model.

A multi-approach study of the performance of dairy donkey during lactation: preliminary results
Donkey milk is known for some nutritional and nutraceutical peculiarities compared to the milks traditionally used for human nutrition. Moreover although the number of studies on donkey milk production has increased the asinine species still remains ...

Trained Memory of Uterine Macrophages Improves Subsequent Pregnancy Outcomes
This study identifies that pregnancy imprints a durable, pregnancy‐specific form of trained immune memory in uterine macrophages, marked by the emergence of LILRB3+/PIR‐B+ cells that expand across gestations, acquire a tolerogenic and metabolically rewired phenotype, and actively protect against inflammatory pregnancy loss in mice.
