Interpretability and Representability of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Topological Spectral Theory for Real‐World Data [PDF]
This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Soil loss caused by erosion has destroyed landscapes, as well as depositing sterile material on fertile lands and rivers, clogged waterways and accelerated flash floods, declined the populations of fish and other species, and diminish soil fertility.

Field theories with higher-group symmetry from composite currents
Higher-form symmetries are associated with transformations that only act on extended objects, not on point particles. Typically, higher-form symmetries live alongside ordinary, point-particle (0-form), symmetries and they can be jointly described in ...

Sorting probability for large Young diagrams
Sorting probability for large Young diagrams, Discrete Analysis 2021:24, 57 pp. Let $P=(X,\leq_P)$ be a finite partially ordered set (or _poset_, for short). A _linear extension_ $L$ of $P$ is a total ordering $\leq_L$ on $X$ such that for every $x,y\in

ZETA ELEMENTS IN DEPTH 3 AND THE FUNDAMENTAL LIE ALGEBRA OF THE INFINITESIMAL TATE CURVE
This paper draws connections between the double shuffle equations and structure of associators; Hain and Matsumoto’s universal mixed elliptic motives; and the Rankin–Selberg method for modular forms for

On the Torus Degeneration of the Genus Two Partition Function [PDF]
We consider the partition function of a general vertex operator algebra $V$ on a genus two Riemann surface formed by sewing together two tori. We consider the non-trivial degeneration limit where one torus is pinched down to a Riemann sphere and show ...

Augmented down-up algebras and uniform posets
Motivated by the structure of the uniform posets we introduce the notion of an augmented down-up (or ADU) algebra. We discuss how ADU algebras are related to the down-up algebras defined by Benkart and Roby. For each ADU algebra we give two presentations by generators and relations. We also display a $Z$-grading and a linear basis.
