Less anxious salmon smolt become easy prey during downstream migration

open access: yes, 2019
Hatchery-reared salmon smolt used for supplementary stocking often display poor migration behavior compared to wild smolt, which reduces the success of this management action.

The Migratory Biology and Feeding Habits of Downstream-Migrating Juvenile Chum Salmon Oncorhynchus keta in the Amur River of Northeast China

open access: yesFishes, 2023
The size of chum salmon juveniles is crucial to their survival. In order to understand the population status and migration patterns of juvenile chum salmon in the waters of the Amur River in China, this study investigated the status of juvenile chum ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Transcription factor KLF15 inhibits the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells via regulating the TFAP2A-AS1/NISCH axis

open access: yesBiology Direct, 2021
Background Recently, overwhelming evidence supports that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play crucial roles in the occurrence and progression of tumors. However, the role and mechanism of lncRNA TFAP2A-AS1 in human gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear. Thus,

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Thermal regime of coastal waters and possible mechanisms of formation for strong year-classes of West Kamchatka pink salmon

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО
Dynamics of downstream migration is considered for juvenile pink salmon at West Kamchatka in 1975–2023. Lengthening of the migration period is noted for recent years with high parental stocks.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Results of the count of juvenile pink salmon Oncorhynchus gorbuscha in the Malaya Khuzi River (Sakhalin Island) in 2022–2024

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО
Migration of juvenile pink salmon Oncorhynсhus gorbuscha in the Malaya Khuzi River (northeastern Sakhalin Island) was studied in May-July of 2022, 2023 and 2024.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

SUIVI DE LA MIGRATION D’AVALAISON DES ANGUILLES PAR UNE CONDUITE DE DEBIT RESERVE

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2003
