DRBEM solutions of cauchy problem for the magnetohydrodynamic duct flow

open access: yes, 2020
Bu tezde, kanallardaki MHD akış probleminin direkt ve ters formülasyonları sıvının hızı ve indüklenen manyetik alan cinsinden karşılıklı sınır elemanları metodu (DRBEM) kullanılarak çözülmüştür. İki boyutlu, zamandan bağımsız, yoğunluğu fazla olan, sıkıştırılamaz, elektriksel iletkenliği olan sıvının akışı uygulanan dış manyetik alan etkisinde ...

Groundwater parameter estimation by optimization and DRBEM

Engineering Analysis With Boundary Elements, 1997
The hydrogeological parameters of aquifers are estimated from head observations by a calibration procedure. The inverse problem is formulated as a maximum likelihood estimation. A quasi-Newton method (BFGS scheme) is used to solve an unconstrained nonlinear optimization problem.

A DRBEM model for harbor oscillation with the effect of energy dissipation

Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, Transactions of the Chinese Institute of Engineers,Series A/Chung-kuo Kung Ch'eng Hsuch K'an, 2005
Abstract In this study, the numerical scheme of dual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) is adopted to investigate the resonant problem in a harbor while considering the effect of energy dissipation. The numerical model employed the mild slope equation as a basic equation.

The DRBEM solution of incompressible MHD flow equations

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2010
SUMMARYThis paper presents a dual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) formulation coupled with an implicit backward difference time integration scheme for the solution of the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow equations. The governing equations are the coupled system of Navier‐Stokes equations and Maxwell's equations of ...

Uncertainty analysis of groundwater flow with DRBEM

Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements, 1997
The reliability of groundwater flow numerical simulation is affected by the quality of input data of aquifer physical parameters. This paper presents an uncertainty analysis based on a first order approximation of covariances. A two-dimensional steady state groundwater flow problem is carried out by coupling the first-order uncertainty analysis with ...

DRBEM Solution of the Double Diffusive Convective Flow

2016
A numerical investigation of unsteady, two-dimensional double diffusive convection flow through a lid-driven square enclosure is carried on. The left and bottom walls of the enclosure are either uniformly or non-uniformly heated and concentrated, while the right vertical wall is maintained at a constant cold temperature.
