EFFECTS OF DRYING AND ENSILING METHODS ON CYANIDES CONTENTS AND CHEMICAL COMPONENTS OF CASSAVA ROOTS AND STEMS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The objectives of this experiment was to compare the drying and ensiling methods to reduce cyanides contents in cassava, as well as related nutrient components.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Modeling the Drying Kinetics of Green Bell Pepper in a Heat Pump Assisted Fluidized Bed Dryer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this research, green bell pepper was dried in a pilot plant fluidized bed dryer equipped with a heat pump humidifier using three temperatures of 40, 50 and 60C and two airflow velocities of 2 and 3m/s in constant air moisture.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Approximate model of wet particle drying

open access: yesСельскохозяйственные машины и технологии, 2017
When plant refuse burning process of drying of fuel is transferred to the furnace camera. Drying of large particles of fuel from the very beginning proceeds in the period of the drooping combustion rate.

Incorporating glass transition concepts to explain rice milling-quality reductions during the drying process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Previous research has indicated that while drying rough rice using air temperatures above the glass transition temperature (Tg), head rice yield (HRY) reductions are incurred if a state transition occurs when severe intra-kernel moisture content (MC ...

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Technical and Economic Efficiency of Using Multifunctional Containers in Primary Seed Production of Grain Crops

open access: yesИнженерные технологии и системы
Introduction. A very common technology of pedigree seed production is associated with manual in-process transshipment of many sacks that over time results in damaged sacks and in worsening of grain storage conditions.

STUDY OF GRAIN DRYING IN THE AUTOMATED GRAIN DRYING UNIT

open access: yesСельскохозяйственные машины и технологии, 2018
Mine and column grain dryers are a fairly complex object of control in the production line. The process of grain drying is characterized  by a large number of parameters, quantitatively and qualitatively characterizing the dryer operation.

The influence of storing high moisture-content rough rice on milling quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The objective of this research was to determine the influence on drying characteristics of storing high-moisture content (MC) rough rice under various conditions and durations before drying. Two cultivars of rice, \u27Bengal\u27, a medium-grain cultivar,
