Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

THE DRYING PERFORMANCE AND POST-DRYING QUALITIES OF Eucalyptus saligna EXPOSED TO INTERMITTENT AND CONTINUOUS DRYING

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Forestry Research, 2020
Eucalyptus saligna tends to develop defects during its drying process, thus limiting its use as construction or furniture material. Intermittent drying, which applies non-heating phases between heating phases, has the potential to overcome this issue.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Researches on the Optimal Process of Heat Pump Intermittent Drying

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2014
Heat pump intermittent drying(HPID) is an energy-efficient process with high quality products. It is necessary to carry on a further research on its optimal process. A heat pump drying model was built for the cabbage seed with heat pump drying.

Application of numerical analysis and machine learning techniques to improve drying performance and energy consumption of microwave-assisted convective dryer

open access: yesResults in Engineering
This study investigates the drying performance and energy consumption of okra slices using a hybrid microwave-assisted convective dryer. The effects of air temperature (40–60 °C), microwave power (100–400 W), and airflow (0.5–1.5 m/s) on drying time ...
