Intraoperative acquisition of DTI in cranial neurosurgery: readout-segmented DTI versus standard single-shot DTI

Journal of Neurosurgery, 2020
OBJECTIVEDiffusion tensor imaging (DTI) tractography is commonly used in neurosurgical practice but is largely limited to the preoperative setting. This is due primarily to image degradation caused by susceptibility artifact when conventional single-shot (SS) echo-planar imaging (EPI) DTI (SS-DTI) is acquired for open cranial, surgical position ...

A generalized correlation coefficient: Application to DTI and multi-fiber DTI

2012 IEEE Workshop on Mathematical Methods in Biomedical Image Analysis, 2012
Multi-fiber models have been introduced as an efficient and interpretable way of representing the diffusion signal in areas with crossing fibers. However, no metric has been provided to use multi-fiber features in registration. The normalized correlation coefficient is commonly used in registration of scalar images due to its invariance under linear ...

Framework for Creating New Discriminats for Detecting DTI properties: DTI Mapper

2006 International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2006
We have commonly employed medical images, not including X-ray photography, which have their image enhanced by taking advantage of certain characteristics of the human body to look for some valuable medical information. In general, the medical imaging modalities have employed an image acquisition method which enhances a certain feature of the seat of a ...

DTI-015 Produces Cures in T9 Gliosarcoma

open access: yesNeoplasia, 2003
DTI-015 (BCNU in 100% ethanol) utilizes solventfacilitated perfusion for the intratumoral treatment of gliomas. The water-miscible organic solvent vehicle, ethanol, facilitates a rapid and thorough saturation of the tumor with the dissolved anticancer ...

DTI in Dementing Conditions

2016
Structural imaging, which should be performed at least once in the diagnostic work up of patients with cognitive impairment, serves to exclude other, potentially treatable, diseases, and to identify specific findings useful in distinguishing different forms of neurodegenerative dementia.

DTI support for OSI

Computer Communications, 1986
Abstract This paper outlines the support for OSI which is offered by the Department of Trade and Industry. These activities are set in the context of the worldwide and European standards development situation. The following activities are described: intercept strategy, support to standard making, implementors groups on OSI standards, conformance ...

DTI Connectivity by Segmentation

2010
This paper proposes a new method to compute connectivity information from diffusion weighted images. It is inspired by graph-based approaches to connectivity definition, but formulates the estimation problem in the continuum. In particular, it defines the connectivity through the minimum cut in tensor-weighted space.

A Statistical Framework for DTI Segmentation

3rd IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging: Macro to Nano, 2006., 2006
We address the problem of the segmentation of cerebral white matter structures from diffusion tensor images (DTI). DTI can be estimated from a set of diffusion weighted images and provides tensor-valued images where each voxel is assigned with a 3 /spl times/ 3 symmetric, positive-definite matrix.
