Determining resonant frequencies of single dual-mode resonator and its application
2010 IEEE International Conference on Wireless Information Technology and Systems, 2010Determining resonant frequency was proposed for the bandpass filter using single dual-mode resonator. Because a coupling coefficient implied the information which is the position of poles for the bandpass filter, the resonant frequencies (ƒ e , ƒ m ) were obtained through the equivalent circuit analysis and the simple calculation.

Miniaturized Superconducting Filter Realized by Using Dual-Mode and Stepped Resonators
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2004In this paper, the design principles of a new miniaturized superconducting planar filter configuration is presented. The configuration is based on the combined use of dual-mode cross-slotted patch resonators and stepped resonators. Four-pole filters exhibiting a quasi-elliptical response and with operating frequencies in K-, L-, and C-bands have been ...

Dual mode antenna design using split ring resonator array
2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014In this study an array structure formed by four split ring resonators (SRR) has been used as the radiating part of the antenna. Due to the coupling between resonators placed in proper distances along the propagation direction, two mode of radiation has been shown by numerical calculations.

Dual-Mode Surface-Plasmon Resonance Sensors using Angular Interrogation
LEOS 2007 - IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society Annual Meeting Conference Proceedings, 2007Surface-plasmon-resonance (SPR) sensors are widely used in biological, chemical, medical, and environmental sensing. SPR sensors supporting two surface-plasmon modes can differentiate surface binding interactions from bulk index changes at a single sensing location. We present a new approach to dual-mode SPR sensing that offers improved differentiation

Dual mode superconducting planar filters based on slotted square resonators
IEEE Transactions on Appiled Superconductivity, 2001A new kind of dual-mode filter based on cross and transverse slotted square resonators is presented. A pair of unequal crossed slots formed on a square patch resonator provides both a reduction of the filter size and a simple and controllable way to couple the two degenerate modes.

Y-Shape Dielectric Dual-Mode Resonator
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2008In this paper, a new concept for a dual-mode dielectric resonator is presented, which is based on TM-mode operation in dielectric rods. By arranging the dielectric rods in Y-shape configuration, new fundamental eigenmode resonances are found to be present.

A New Realization of Dual Mode Dielectric Resonator Filters
17th European Microwave Conference, 1987, 1987A new realization of dual hybrid mode dielectric resonator band pass filters is presented. All the coupling elements in this realization are tunable, and no iris or coupling holes are needed to achieve coupling among resonators. As a result the new structure is easier to tune and considerably less expensive to manufacture, since expensively machined ...

Complex Eigenmodes for Modelling of Dielectric Dual-Mode Resonators
2018 IEEE MTT-S International Conference on Numerical Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization (NEMO), 2018In this paper, concepts for dielectric dual-mode resonators will be reviewed. Based on this review a new concept for modelling of a resonator is presented, which is based on complex eigenmodes. Their existence is revealed by a simple eigenmode approach using branch-vector representation and rotational symmetry of the physical structure.

Dual-mode microstrip triangular patch resonators and filters
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003Dual-mode operation of microstrip triangular patch resonators has been investigated. It has been found theoretically that the dual modes can result from the rotation and superposition of a fundamental mode. The characteristics of the dual modes and their mode splitting are described.

Silver in dual-mode Surface-Plasmon Resonance sensors
IEEE Southeastcon 2009, 2009Dual-mode Surface-Plasmon Resonance (SPR) sensors use both long- and short-range surface-plasmon waves to differentiate surface binding interactions from interfering bulk effects. Typically, a thin layer of gold is used in these sensors. However, research shows silver is theoretically a more suitable candidate.
