The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Higher genus minimal surfaces in $S^3$ and stable bundles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider compact minimal surfaces $f\colon M\to S^3$ of genus 2 which are homotopic to an embedding. We assume that the associated holomorphic bundle is stable.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Characterization of intracortical synaptic connections in the mouse anterior cingulate cortex using dual patch clamp recording

open access: yesMolecular Brain, 2009
Summary The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is involved in sensory, cognitive, and executive functions. Studies of synaptic transmission and plasticity in the ACC provide an understanding of basic cellular and molecular mechanisms for brain functions ...

Dual connections and affine geometry

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 1990
Two torsion free affine connections \(\nabla\) and \({\bar \nabla}\) of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\), \(\dim M=n\) are called dual if \(Xg(Y,Z)=g(\nabla_ XY,Z)+g(Y,{\bar \nabla}_ XZ)\) for any vector fields X, Y, Z. Such an \((M,g,\nabla,{\bar \nabla})\) is called a statistical manifold.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Symplectic QSD, LCD, and ACD Codes over a Non-Commutative Non-Unitary Ring of Order Nine

open access: yesEntropy
We introduce quasi self-dual (QSD), linear complementary dual (LCD), and additive complementary dual (ACD) codes for the symplectic inner product over a non-commutative non-unitary ring of order 9. We establish connections with symplectic–self-orthogonal

Unveiling mapping structures of spinor duals

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
Following the program of investigation of alternative spinor duals potentially applicable to fermions beyond the standard model, we demonstrate explicitly the existence of several well defined spinor duals.
