TRAF2 binds to TIFA via a novel motif and contributes to its autophagic degradation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
TRAF family members couple receptor signalling complexes to downstream outputs, but how they interact with these complexes is not always clear. Here, we show that during ADP‐heptose signalling, TRAF2 binding to TIFA requires two short sequence motifs in the C‐terminal tail of TIFA, which are distinct from the TRAF6 binding motif.

A comprehensive review on dual approach to the vibration analysis: Some dual techniques and application

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2020
This paper reviews key ideas of the researches on the dual approach to the vibration analysis. Three types of dual techniques, namely, forward - return dual technique, global-local dual technique, weighted averaging dual technique for the problem of ...

The epithelial barrier theory proposes a comprehensive explanation for the origins of allergic and other chronic noncommunicable diseases

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Exposure to common noxious agents (1), including allergens, pollutants, and micro‐nanoplastics, can cause epithelial barrier damage (2) in our body's protective linings. This may trigger an immune response to our microbiome (3). The epithelial barrier theory explains how this process can lead to chronic noncommunicable diseases (4) affecting organs ...

Minimal covariant observables identifying all pure states

open access: yes, 2012
It has been recently shown that an observable that identifies all pure states of a d-dimensional quantum system has minimally 4d-4 outcomes or slightly less (the exact number depending on the dimension d).

From omics to AI—mapping the pathogenic pathways in type 2 diabetes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Integrating multi‐omics data with AI‐based modelling (unsupervised and supervised machine learning) identify optimal patient clusters, informing AI‐driven accurate risk stratification. Digital twins simulate individual trajectories in real time, guiding precision medicine by matching patients to targeted therapies.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis sulfurtransferase SseA is activated by its neighboring gene product Rv3284

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Tuberculosis remains a global health challenge and new therapeutic targets are required. Here, we characterized SseA, a sulfurtransferase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis involved in macrophage infection, and its interaction with the newly identified protein SufEMtb that activates SseA enzymatic activity.

Analysis of students' dual processes in solving number pattern questions and providing scaffolding

open access: yesJournal Focus Action of Research Mathematic
This research aims to describe students' dual-process in solving number pattern questions and scaffolding that support students' dual-process. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study type.

ERBIN limits epithelial cell plasticity via suppression of TGF‐β signaling

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In breast and lung cancer patients, low ERBIN expression correlates with poor clinical outcomes. Here, we show that ERBIN inhibits TGF‐β‐induced epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in NMuMG breast and A549 lung adenocarcinoma cell lines. ERBIN suppresses TGF‐β/SMAD signaling and reduces TGF‐β‐induced ERK phosphorylation.

A sustainable dual-channel inventory model with trapezoidal fuzzy demand and energy consumption

open access: yesCleaner Engineering and Technology, 2022
Most of the consumers relied heavily on e-commerce for products and services for the past few years due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. This kind of an unexpected behaviour among the consumer society has taken every industry by surprise so that many ...
