Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Representation of generalized circular surfaces as rigid body motions
In this paper, we introduce generalized circular surfaces, a generalization of generalized tube surfaces and circular surfaces. Moreover, we define a special dual quaternion by using the moving frame along the spine curve of generalized circular surface.

A Method of Robot Base Frame Calibration by Using Dual Quaternion Algebra
When the robot is required to execute a certain task in the world coordinate system (WCS), it is necessary to find the coordinate transformation between the robot base coordinate system (RBCS) and WCS to enable the high precision motion planning.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Dynamic Parameters Identification of Serial Robot Based on Dual Quaternion
This paper studies the dynamic parameters identification problem of load and linkages of a serial robot in the presence of model uncertainty. The dynamic parameters of load and linkages of a serial robot have been identified through a combination ...

Using Lie Derivatives with Dual Quaternions for Parallel Robots
We introduce the notion of the Lie derivative in the context of dual quaternions that represent rigid motions and twists. First we define the wrench in terms of dual quaternions.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
