A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Images of function and distribution spaces under the Bargmann transform

open access: yes, 2016
We consider a broad family of test function spaces and their dual (distribution) space. The family includes Gelfand-Shilov spaces, a family of test function spaces introduced by S. Pilipovic.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Regularity of fuzzy convergence spaces

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
(Fuzzy) convergence spaces are extensions of (fuzzy) topological spaces. ⊤-convergence spaces are one of important fuzzy convergence spaces. In this paper, we present an extending dual Fischer diagonal condition, and making use of this we discuss a ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Observations on the Separable Quotient Problem for Banach Spaces

open access: yesAxioms, 2020
The longstanding Banach−Mazur separable quotient problem asks whether every infinite-dimensional Banach space has a quotient (Banach) space that is both infinite-dimensional and separable.

The Generalized Difference Operator Δi3 of Order Three and Its Domain in the Sequence Spaces ℓ1 and bv

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
Most recently, the generalized difference operator Δi3 of order three was defined and its domain in Hahn sequence space h was calculated. In this paper, the spaces ℓ1Δi3 and bvΔi3 are introduced as the domain of generalized difference operator Δi3 of ...
