Reverse Poisson Counting Process with Random Observations

open access: yesMathematics
This paper introduces the Reverse Poisson Counting Process (RPCP), a stochastic model derived from the Poisson counting process with limited and random capacity, characterized by counting backward from a defined maximum level.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A Novel Approach to Canonical Divergences within Information Geometry

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
A divergence function on a manifold M defines a Riemannian metric g and dually coupled affine connections ∇ and ∇ * on M.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Optimality and duality in set-valued optimization utilizing limit sets

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
This paper deals with optimality conditions and duality theory for vector optimization involving non-convex set-valued maps. Firstly, under the assumption of nearly cone-subconvexlike property for set-valued maps, the necessary and sufficient optimality ...

Specific duality and stability of positive electrical circuits

open access: yesArchives of Electrical Engineering, 2017
The specific duality and asymptotic stability of the positive linear electrical circuits are addressed. The specific duality of positive linear electrical circuits composed of resistances, inductances, capacitances and source voltages is established.

Vector meson production at low x from gauge/gravity duality

open access: yes, 2013
We use gauge/gravity duality to study vector meson (J/?, ? 0 , ?, ?) production in electron-proton scattering, in the limit of high center of mass energy at fixed momentum transfer, corresponding to the limit of low Bjorken x, where the process is ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
