4d N = 1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ from 6d (1, 0)

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study the geometry of 4d N = 1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ SCFT’s arising from compactification of 6d (1, 0) SCFT’s on a Riemann surface. We show that the conformal manifold of the resulting theory is characterized, in addition to moduli of complex structure ...

Dualities in Supersymmetric Field Theories

open access: yes, 1997
Lectures presented at the 33rd Karpacz Winter School ``Duality: Strings and Fields'' briefly introducing dualities in four-dimensional quantum field theory, and summarizing results found in supersymmetric field theories.

Dipoles, Twists and Noncommutative Gauge Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
T-duality of gauge theories on a noncommutative $T^d$ can be extended to include fields with twisted boundary conditions. The resulting T-dual theories contain novel nonlocal fields. These fields represent dipoles of constant magnitude.

Partition functions of chiral gauge theories on the two dimensional torus and their duality properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Two different families of abelian chiral gauge theories on the torus are investigated: the aim is to test the consistency of two-dimensional anomalous gauge theories in the presence of global degrees of freedom for the gauge field.

Generalized T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$ -like deformations in duality-invariant nonlinear electrodynamic theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
This study introduces a high-order perturbation methodology to categorize two primary solution types within duality-invariant nonlinear electrodynamic theories, adhering to the differential self-duality criterion.

Topological dualities in the Ising model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We relate two classical dualities in low-dimensional quantum field theory: Kramers-Wannier duality of the Ising and related lattice models in $2$ dimensions, with electromagnetic duality for finite gauge theories in $3$ dimensions.

Topologically Massive Gauge Theories and their Dual Factorised Gauge Invariant Formulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
There exists a well-known duality between the Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory and the self-dual massive model in 2+1 dimensions. This dual description has been extended to topologically massive gauge theories (TMGT) in any dimension.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Simplified self-dual electrodynamics

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present a new formulation of self-dual nonlinear electrodynamics in which interactions are determined by an auxiliary-field potential, with causality ensuring a unique solution to the auxiliary-field equation.

Dualities of 3D 𝒩 = 1 SQCD from Branes and non-SUSY deformations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study the dynamics of an ‘electric’ 𝒩 = 1 3D U N c k , k + N c 2 $$ \textrm{U}{\left({N}_c\right)}_{k,k+\frac{N_c}{2}} $$ SQCD theory. By embedding the theory in string theory, we propose that the theory admits a ‘magnetic’ dual and analyse the low ...
