EGG PRODUCTIVITY OF EGFP-TRANSGENIC DUCKS

open access: yesAnimal Science and Food Technology, 2019
The results of the analysis of egg production of two generations transgenic ducks (TD) by EGFP gene are presented in the article. TD were obtained by transferring foreign DNA using sperm (SMGT). The egg production of first-generation TD (experimental group) was compared with that of non-transgenic ducks (control group) of the same age and line.

An experimental examination of dispersal decisions made by flight‐capable heteropteran insects in urban stormwater pond conditions

open access: yesEcological Entomology, EarlyView.
Salty conditions in urban stormwater ponds can influence dispersal timing in species‐specific ways for actively dispersing aquatic heteropteran insects. Assaying multiple aspects of dispersal propensity, Hesperocorixa obliqua emigrated earlier in stormwater pond conditions while overall probabilities remained unchanged; Notonecta undulata emigration ...

Adapting the growth‐form concept to geniculate coralline algae (Corallinales, Rhodophyta)

open access: yesJournal of Phycology, EarlyView.
Abstract Geniculate coralline algae (Corallinales, Rhodophyta) are a diverse group of calcifying macroalgae, loosely united by flexible upright axes formed by alternating calcified (intergenicula) and uncalcified segments (genicula), a trait that has independently arisen several times.

Using Local Expert Knowledge to Measure Prices: Evidence From a Survey Experiment in Vietnam

open access: yesReview of Development Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many countries lack spatially disaggregated consumer price data needed to estimate real inequality and spatial patterns of poverty. Such data are especially absent in poor countries where weak infrastructure and high transport costs create large price variation over space.

Cloning and expression profiling of the VLDLR gene associated with egg performance in duck (Anas platyrhynchos)

open access: yesGenetics Selection Evolution, 2011
Background The very low density lipoprotein receptor gene (VLDLR), a member of the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene family, plays a crucial role in the synthesis of yolk protein precursors in oviparous species.

Non‐Migrant Women and Their Livelihoods in the Sundarbans, Bangladesh

open access: yesClimate Resilience and Sustainability, Volume 5, Issue 1, June 2026.
This graphical abstract illustrates the Sundarbans social–ecological system and its influence on women's livelihood strategies, particularly migration and non‐migration decisions. It highlights the interaction between ecological (ecosystem services) and social (institutional interventions, governance) subsystems, shaping livelihood capitals (natural ...

General practice veterinarians’ attitudes towards avian influenza: A COM‐B analysis of barriers to backyard poultry treatment

open access: yesVeterinary Record, Volume 198, Issue 6, Page e237-e247, 14/21 March 2026.
Abstract Background The recent expansion of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 to non‐avian species in the United States has intensified public health‐related concerns. In Great Britain, low veterinarian confidence in seeing and treating birds creates potential barriers to HPAI diagnosis and reporting.

Grape Seed Polyphenols Enhance Antioxidant Activity and Prolong the Lifespan of Caenorhabditis elegans Through SKN‐1/Nrf2 Pathway

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 67-79, March 2026.
GSP extends C. elegans lifespan, enhances stress resistance and reproduction, boosts antioxidant defenses (↑SOD/CAT/GSH‐Px, ↓ROS), remodels glycolysis/TCA/one‐carbon metabolism dose‐dependently, and activates SKN‐1/Nrf2 and H3K4 methylation—linking redox control to epigenetic modulation.
