Comparative Performance and Hemato-Biochemical Profile of Jinding Ducks in Different Production Systems of Bangladesh [PDF]

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2013
Jinding ducks are newly introduced to Bangladesh in commercial and household rearing. In order to assess production and hemato-biochemical status of Jinding ducks studies were conducted on household ducks of Chatkhil (August 2005-2006) and Sonagazi duck ...

Assessing Angiogenic Properties In Vitro or In Ovo of Pre‐Crosslinked Alginate‐Dialdehyde‐Gelatin Hydrogels Incorporating Boron‐Doped Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Particles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study examines the influence of boron‐doped mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGN) blended in cast and 3D‐printed pre‐crosslinked alginate‐dialdehyde‐gelatin (ADA‐GEL). Addition of 0.5% and 1% MBGN did not negatively affect the viability of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), or the sprouting of HUVEC spheroids.

The addition of duck egg yolk in skim milk – fructose extender maintains sperm motility and viability of Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata) at 5°C storage

open access: yesOvozoa: Journal of Animal Reproduction
This study aimed to determine the addition of duck egg yolk in skim milk – fructose extender on sperm motility and viability of Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata) at 5°C storage. Ejaculates of Muscovy duck were divided into four portions equally.

A comprehensive embryonic staging series of the turtle Trachemys scripta

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 255, Issue 3, Page 260-320, March 2026.
Abstract Background Turtles hold a unique place in vertebrate evolutionary history, making them critical assets in embryology research. Yet, they remain understudied as potential model organisms in the field. Here, to support experimental manipulations with turtle embryos, we have created a complete normal table of development for comprehensive ...

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN GULA MERAH DAN LAMA PENYIMPANAN TERHADAP KADAR GIZI DAN RASA TELUR ITIK ASIN [The Effect of Palm Sugar and Storage on Nutrient Content and Taste of Salted Ducks Egg]

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pangan, 2004
This research used 150 duck eggs age one as subject day. There were two factors analyzed here. The first was the amount of palm sugar which consisted of 25 grams, 50 grams, and 75 grams. The second factor were the storage duration which consisted of 3, 4,

Waterborne transmission largely contributes to the epidemiology of a plankton parasite

open access: yesEcology, Volume 107, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Understanding how parasites spread is crucial for preventing infections and predicting epidemic dynamics. These efforts are challenging for environment‐borne parasites because transmission is host density‐independent. We monitored the dynamics of Pasteuria ramosa, a common bacterial parasite of Daphnia magna with prolonged free‐living ...

Mechanism of Alfalfa in Enhancing Goose Egg Yolk Flavor: An Analysis Based on Metabolomics and Quantitative Lipidomics

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Organic egg production requires daily provision of coarse feed, fresh or dried forage, and silage to poultry. This study employed flavoromics, metabolomics, and quantitative lipidomics to investigate the effects of replacing 0% (CK), 10% (T10), and 20% (T20) of the basal diet of laying geese with alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) on the sensory ...

Effect of medicinal and food homologous plants polysaccharides on animal nutrition and health: A review

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 5-23, March 2026.
Abstract As one of the most important components of foods, animal meat provides a lot of protein, fat, and energy for humans. However, nutrition and health of animals directly affect the healthiness of human, especially antibiotic residues in animals induced by abuse of antibiotics.

Artificial Incubation of Muscovy Duck Eggs: Why Some Eggs Hatch and Others Do Not

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2001
This study was designed to gain insight into the influence of spraying and cooling, during artificial incubation, on the embryo metabolic rate and hatching ability of Muscovy duck eggs. Three times a week 93 incubated eggs were sprayed and cooled for 0.5 h at room temperature.

Understanding protein–flavor interactions: Factors, characterization techniques, and the effect of processing

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 47-70, March 2026.
Abstract The perception of flavor in a food system depends on its release from the protein matrix. Apart from hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interactions and van der Waal's forces, the formation of covalent adducts between the flavor and protein highly impacts the release of flavor from the protein matrix.
