Micronutrient Deficiencies in Nepalese Adolescents: National Prevalence and Associated Factors

This study found that consumption of eggs is associated with iron deficiency among adolescent boys and girls in Nepal. Adolescent girls from the eastern region are more likely to have a low ferritin level. Being iron deficient (sTfR levels) was significantly higher in adolescent girls from the Janajati caste group.

Study outlines fabrication of tailorable decellularised human placenta and fish scale gelatin‐based hydrogels. Decellularisation with ultrasonication reduced time and ECM damage. Hydrogels were assessed for structural integrity and cytocompatibility, showing myogenic differentiation with aligned myotubes (C2C12) and myoblasts (HAMSCs).

This study gives valuable insights into host–pathogen interaction and confirms that the circulating tribasic H9N2 virus remains phenotypically low pathogenic in Japanese quails in Bangladesh but cause long‐term impairment of important productivity parameters (weight gain, laying rates).
