Unsteady Rheology of MHD Newtonian Material with Soret and Dufours Effects
International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics, 2017The analysis has been conducted to analyze the magneto-hydrodynamics combined with Soret and Dufours effects in the rheology of a Newtonian fluid over an unsteady stretched wall. Simultaneous effects of heat and mass transport processes in the presence of generative/destructive chemical reactions are analyzed.

Unsteady Flow of Third Grade Fluid With Soret and Dufour Effects
Journal of Heat Transfer, 2012Unsteady flow of a third grade fluid in the presence of Soret and Dufour effects is considered. Employing similarity transformations, the governing equation for the velocity, concentration, and temperature fields is presented. The computations for the corresponding problems are performed by using a homotopy analysis method (HAM).

Soret-Dufour effects on MHD rotating flow of a viscoelastic fluid
International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow, 2014Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study the heat and mass transfer with Soret-Dufour effects for the magnetohydrodynamic three-dimensional flow of second grade fluid in the rotating frame of reference. Design/methodology/approach – Series solution is ...

Observation of a soret-dufour effect for laser-generated carriers in germanium
Physica B+C, 1983Abstract The absorption of high-intensity laser radiation in semiconductors can generate high carrier densities and temperatures. If the absorption coefficient is high, large lattice temperature gradients and, therefore, band-gap gradients are produced.

Buoyancy, Soret, Dufour, and Variable Property Effects in Silicon Epitaxy
Journal of Heat Transfer, 1991In most of the previous numerical and semi-analytical studies of silicon epitaxial deposition, a common practice has been to neglect the buoyancy flow, Dufour, Soret, and property variation effects. In this paper, we take a critical look at the validity of that approach and point out some fallacies.
