Self‐Hybridized Exciton‐Polariton Photodetectors From Layered Metal‐Organic Chalcogenolates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 34, 27 April 2026.
Self‐hybridized exciton‐polariton photodetectors are demonstrated using high refractive index mithrene, eliminating the need for top mirrors. This simplified architecture enables tunable sub‐bandgap photodetection via lower exciton‐polariton states and enhanced carrier transport through ultrafast polariton group velocities.

Patterning of Lead Halide Perovskite Device Stacks on CMOS Readout Using Selective Microfabrication Protocols

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 21, 13 April 2026.
We present a microfabrication and integration strategy for lead halide perovskite photodetectors on electronic readouts. Standard photolithography, aqueous processing, selective transparent electrode etching, and plasma‐assisted pixel isolation enable precise monolithic integration of patterned 400 × 400 perovskite microphotodetector arrays on a CMOS ...

Joint intelligent optimization design of the active region and electron blocking layer for AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet LEDs

open access: yesAIP Advances
Aiming to enhance the internal quantum efficiency (IQE) of AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (DUV LEDs), the active region based on the V-shaped quantum well (QW) and the electron-blocking layer (EBL) structure are jointly optimized ...

The Cosmological Bootstrap: Inflationary Correlators from Symmetries and Singularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Scattering amplitudes at weak coupling are highly constrained by Lorentz invariance, locality and unitarity, and depend on model details only through coupling constants and particle content.

Ultrafast Photocatalytic Wettability Switching in Substrate‐Interface Tailored Titanium Dioxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 7, 7 April 2026.
This study demonstrates ultrafast photocatalytic wettability switching in TiO2 thin films by tailoring substrate doping and interface oxides. Enhanced switching rates and hemiwicking effects are achieved through optimized material stacks and nanostructuring.

Metric embeddings with relaxed guarantees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the problem of embedding finite metrics with slack: We seek to produce embeddings with small dimension and distortion while allowing a (small) constant fraction of all distances to be arbitrarily distorted.

Room Temperature Synthesis and Photopatterning of Mesoporous Titanium Dioxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 7, 6 April 2026.
A nanofabrication strategy combining deep‐UV photolithography with block copolymer self‐assembly enables direct patterning and mineralization of mesoporous TiO2 thin films at room temperature. Photocatalytic titanium oxo‐clusters promote polymer degradation under UV irradiation, enabling multiscale control over porosity, film thickness, and lateral ...

Planar Compound Eye Lens for Enhanced Light Extraction Efficiency in AlGaN‐Based Deep Ultraviolet LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
Total internal reflection prevents photons from escaping deep‐ultraviolet (DUV) LED, resulting in serious energy waste and reduced service life.

Problems in extremal graph theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider a variety of problems in extremal graph and set theory. The {\em chromatic number} of $G$, $\chi(G)$, is the smallest integer $k$ such that $G$ is $k$-colorable.
