Influence of the conditions of sensitization on the characteristics of p-DSCs sensitized with asymmetric squaraines [PDF]
The effect of the conditions of sensitization on the photoelectrochemical performance of p-type dye-sensitized solar cells (p-DSCs) with screen-printed nickel oxide (NiO) photocathodes is analyzed.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Antioxidant Potential of Hydroxycinnamic Acids in Advanced Oxidation Processes
The aim of the study was to describe the characteristics of a natural antioxidant derived from the group of the hydroxycinnamic acids (sinapic and ferulic acid). Electrochemical methods and other spectrophotometric assays were studied for the analysis to

Thermo-optical interactions in a dye-microcavity photon Bose-Einstein condensate [PDF]
Superfluidity and Bose-Einstein condensation are usually considered as two closely related phenomena. Indeed, in most macroscopic quantum systems, like liquid helium, ultracold atomic Bose gases, and exciton-polaritons, condensation and superfluidity ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Analysis And Performance Of A Picosecond Dye Laser Amplifier Chain [PDF]
Design considerations are discussed for a simple, easy to use and relatively efficient high gain dye laser amplifier chain for CW mode-locked dye lasers. The amplifier boosts the output of a synchronously mode-locked dye laser to obtain ≈005 mj, ≤ 1 psec

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Optimizing a Simple Natural Dye Production Method for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells: Examples for Betalain (Bougainvillea and Beetroot Extracts) and Anthocyanin Dyes [PDF]
We present a study about the sensitizers extracted from natural resources. This paper focuses on how to select, extract and characterize natural dyes, giving some guides to establish a protocol for the whole process of fabricating and using these dyes ...
