The Effects of Computerized Dynamic Assessment on Promoting At-Risk Advanced Iranian EFL Students’ Reading Skills [PDF]

open access: yesIssues in Language Teaching, 2015
Dynamic Assessment (DA) is theoretically framed within Vygotsky’s Socio-Cultural Theory (SCT) and relies on reunification of assessment and instruction.

Modeling dynamic reliability using dynamic Bayesian networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper considers the problem of modeling and analyzing the reliability of a system or a component (system) where the state of the system and the state of process variables influences each other in addition to an exogenous perturbation influence: this

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The dynamic assessment of narratives : a bilingual study

open access: yes, 2008
textThis three-part study explores an application of the dynamic assessment of narratives in a bilingual Spanish and English-speaking early elementary population as a preliminary study of bilingual children’s response to a short-term intervention ...

Bridge damage assessment based on static and dynamic flexibility matrices

open access: yes, 2022
peer reviewedBeing an indispensable part of transportation systems, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of bridges has been increasingly studied. Various SHM techniques not only enhance reliability and safety but also reduce maintenance costs.

Classroom Dynamic Assessment of EFL Learners’ Oral Production: A Case of Female Intermediate Learners [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
EFL learners often have problems to speak properly in English. As the purpose of teaching speaking is to improve the learners’ oral production, language teaching should maximize language use in the classrooms (Haozhang, 1997), which is ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Addressing the social, cognitive and emotional needs of children: the case for dynamic assessment

open access: yes, 2001
This paper examines the extent to which the use of psychological assessment addresses the social, emotional and cognitive needs of children experiencing difficulties with learning.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
