Dynamic Stability of the 3D Axi-symmetric Navier-Stokes Equations with Swirl

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper, we study the dynamic stability of the 3D axisymmetric Navier-Stokes Equations with swirl. To this purpose, we propose a new one-dimensional (1D) model which approximates the Navier-Stokes equations along the symmetry axis.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Verification theorem and construction of epsilon-optimal controls for control of abstract evolution equations [PDF]

open access: yes
We study several aspects of the dynamic programming approach to optimal control of abstract evolution equations, including a class of semilinear partial differential equations.

BSVIEs with stochastic Lipschitz coefficients and applications in finance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper is concerned with existence and uniqueness of M-solutions of backward stochastic Volterra integral equations (BSVIEs for short), which Lipschitz coefficients are allowed to be random, which generalize the results in [15].

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Second-order advanced dynamic equations on time scales: Oscillation analysis via monotonicity properties

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
This paper derives new oscillation criteria for a class of second-order non-canonical advanced dynamic equations of the form \begin{document}$ \begin{equation*} \left(\zeta(\ell) \varkappa^{\Delta}(\ell)\right)^{\Delta} + q (\ell) \varkappa(\wp(\ell)) =

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Oscillation criterion for half-linear sublinear functional noncanonical dynamic equations

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive
In this study, we derive new criteria that ensure the oscillation of solutions to noncanonical dynamic equations that are half-linear sublinear functional.

Resolution methods for mathematical models based on differential equations with Stieltjes derivatives

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
Stieltjes differential equations, i.e. differential equations with usual derivatives replaced by derivatives with respect to given functions (derivators), are useful to model processes which exhibit dead times and/or sudden changes.
