Loading device for oncoming dynamic loading

open access: yesTraktory i sel hozmashiny, 2014
Methods of running and testing of parts, units and aggregates under load in case of transferring required drive torques through them are considered. The method of loading by oncoming drive torques using inertial loaders is theoretically substantiated.

Experimental study of dynamic compressive behaviour of concrete material reinforced with spiral steel fibres

open access: yes, 2013
It has been well demonstrated that the impact loading resistance capacity of the concrete material can be effectively increased by adding fibres. Recent studies proved that compared to other conventional steel fibres, using steel fibres with spiral shape

Vibrational performance of pedestrian bridges due to human-induced loads. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The vibrational performance of footbridges due to human-induced loads has been investigated, based on modal and pedestrian tests carried out on three prototype footbridges.

Vehicle-bridge dynamic interaction using finite element modelling

open access: yes, 2010
First investigations on the dynamic response of bridges due to moving loads were motivated by the collapse of the Chester railway bridge in the UK in the middle of the 19th century.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Mechanical properties and energy evolution of combined coal-rock body under different stress states and strain rates

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
The stress environment of deep coal-rock mass is complex, to further reveal the mechanism of rock burst induced by dynamic load. Based on the Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar test system, the dynamic tests under different stress states (non-axial and ...

Dynamic Response of Concrete Pavements under Vehicular Loads

open access: yes, 2006
Considerable knowledge of pavement behaviour under static loads is available world-wide. The behaviour of concrete pavements under dynamic loads, however, has not received much attention and hence is not well understood at present.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
