The action spectrum of a tailored azobenzene is shifted toward bio‐optical window through the chemical modification of its singlet and triplet energy levels. Consequently, the bidirectional photo‐switching of azobenzene in physiological conditions is achieved when excited by red and far‐red light, which offers greater tissue penetration.

Autonomous and Continuous Atmospheric Water Harvesting Using Modified Wood
A rigid, hydroxyl‐rich wood skeleton with graded channels is used as a multifunctional host to co‐incorporate a PNipam/PAA network and LiCl, creating a high‐performance sorbent for atmospheric water harvesting. The composite achieves rapid sorption, efficient low‐temperature desorption, and stable cycling, enabling a solar‐powered device with a high ...

Precipitation‐modulated recrystallization enables a programmable bimodal harmonic architecture in a high‐entropy alloy, delivering 1–2 GPa yield strength with >10% ductility from −196 °C to 700 °C. The resulting broad‐temperature robustness arises from the synergy of dual‐mode nanoprecipitation, harmonic core–shell topology, and temperature‐adaptive ...

Phase‐resolved experiments and atomistic simulations reveal asynchronous ordering behaviors in a eutectic high‐entropy alloy during isothermal annealing. Distinct defect transport mechanisms are identified in coexisting B2 and BCC phases, showing that vacancy and interstitial mediated diffusion governs phase‐dependent thermal stability.

Dynamic and post-dynamic recrystallization in a Mo-Ti steel
Simulations of hot strip mill and other tandem schedules have shown that dynamic recrystallization can take place if static recrystallization is sufficiently retarded to permit the required amount of strain accumulation.

Dynamic recrystallization of austenite in microalloyed high carbon steels
Hypereutectoid steels of 1% carbon, alloyed with high silicon and microalloying levels of vanadium were subjected to dynamic recrystallization. It was found that an increase in carbon and vanadium content leads to smaller grain size.
