Dynamic Recrystallization Nucleation Mechanism and Precipitation Behavior of Homogeneous Al-Zn-Mg-Cu Alloy during Hot Deformation

open access: yesMetals
The hot deformation behavior of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy was investigated by flow stress curves in isothermal hot compression experiments with deformation temperatures of 350–450 °C and strain rates of 0.01 s−1 to 1 s−1, and the constitutive equation of ...

Microstructural simulations of dynamic recrystallization

open access: yes, 1989
A Monte Carlo model for the simulation of static recrystallization and grain growth has been adapted for dynamic recrystallization by adding recrystallization nuclei and stored energy continuously with time. The results of the simulations have shown that

Dynamic Recrystallization of Mg-8Gd-3Y-1Nd-0.5Zr Alloy during Hot Deformation

open access: yes, 2017
Uniaxial hot compression was conducted on Gleeble-3500 thermo simulation machine. Based on stress-strain curves, the constitutive relationship and the dynamic recrystallization kinetics model of Mg-8Gd-3Y-1Nd-0.5Zr were established.

Quantifying Magnetic Anisotropy of Ferroelectric Fe(II) Square‐Pyramidal Systems Using Torque Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...

Structurally Complex Precipitates Enhance Strength‐Ductility Synergy in a Duplex Medium Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strong‐yet‐ductile precipitation‐hardening alloys require novel microstructural complexity of precipitates in particularly at cryogenic condition, to constantly impart strain hardening of hard‐and‐brittle precipitates. The present work creates innovative structurally complex precipitates assembled with dispersed nanocores and a chemical‐heterogeneity ...
