Dynamic Recrystallization of a Quartz Porphyroclast [PDF]

open access: yesTexture, Stress, and Microstructure, 1991
Dynamic recrystallization occurs to minimize strain energy via either grain boundary migration or subgrain rotation1,2. Both result in similar microstructures, but whereas in the former new grains have their crystallographic orientation controlled by neighbouring grains, in the latter new grains are derived from the parent grain.

Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...

Efficient NiOx Hole Transport Layers Enabled by Multifunctional MXenes for High‐Performance Tin‐Lead Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An efficient NiOx HTL is successfully prepared by introducing MXene as an additive without further surface modification to fabricate high‐performance FASn0.5Pb0.5I3 perovskite solar cells. The introduction of MXene contributes to improved conductivity of NiOx, better aligned at NiOx/perovskite interfaces, and enhanced quality of perovskite films ...

Behavior of Dynamic Recrystallization of Austenite in V Microalloying Non-Quenched-Tempered Steel 48MnVS

open access: yesTeshugang, 2016
The tested non-quenched-tenipered steel 48MnVS (/% : 0.48C, 0.60Si, 1.50Mn, 0.35Cr, 0.14V, 0.05S, 0.020Al, 0.0150N) is melted by an 100t EAF, cast to 280 min x 360 mm bloom and rolled to Φ100 mm bar products. The recrystallization precess of austenite in

Hot Deformation and Dynamic Recrystallization Behavior of CoCrNi and (CoCrNi)94Ti3Al3 Medium Entropy Alloys

open access: yesMetals, 2020
The CoCrNi and precipitate-hardened (CoCrNi)94Ti3Al3 medium entropy alloys (MEAs) have attracted much attention, due to their exceptional mechanical properties, whereas the hot deformation characteristics have not been revealed.

Charge Transport in Ternary Charge‐Transfer Solid Solution Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study deconvolutes the roles of indirect (superexchange) and direct electronic coupling on charge transport in single crystals of an organic charge‐transfer molecular semiconductor (OSC). This model system elegantly demonstrates that structural defects introduced by chemical dopants play a significant role in the electronic performance ...

Insight into the hot deformation behavior and recrystallization mechanism of Mg-Y-RE alloys based on machine learning

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys
The hot deformation behavior of magnesium (Mg) alloys is significantly governed by the multi-physics coupling effects of temperature (T), strain rate (ε˙) and strain (ε), resulting in flow behavior that exhibits pronounced nonlinearity and multi-scale ...
