Dynamical modeling and morphological analysis
After a historical sketch of the dynamical hypothesis, we stress that it is a functionalist hypothesis. We then tackle the point of a dynamical approach to constituent structures and emphasize that dynamical modeling must be coupled with morphological

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Improving dynamical climate predictions with machine learning: insights from a twin experiment framework [PDF]
Systematic errors in dynamical climate models remain a significant challenge to accurate climate predictions, particularly when modeling the nonlinear coupling between the atmosphere and ocean.

A statistical-dynamical modeling approach for the simulation of local paleo proxy records using GCM output [PDF]
Recent proxy data obtained from ice core measurements, dendrochronology and valley glaciers provide important information on the evolution of the regional or local climate.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Flow-Field Modeling and Mixing Mechanisms of the Twin-Shaft Mixers Based on LBM–LES Coupling
In modern industrial systems, twin-shaft mixers are key units for efficient mixing and reactions; their performance directly affects product quality, production cycle, and energy consumption across the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and lithium-battery ...

Mathematical Modeling and Optimal Control Strategy for a Discrete Time Drug Consumption Model
The aim of this paper is to study and investigate the optimal control strategy of a discrete mathematical model of drug consumption. The population that we are going to study is divided into six compartments: potential drug users, light drug users, heavy

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
