Nonlinear Dynamics of a Pendulum Excited by a Crank-Shaft-Slider Mechanism

open access: yes, 2014
In this analysis, we consider the dynamics of a pendulum under vertical excitation of a crank-shaft-slider mechanism. The nonlinear model approaches that of a classical parametrically excited pendulum when the ratio of the length of the shaft to the ...

Comparative Insights and Overlooked Factors of Interphase Chemistry in Alkali Metal‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review presents a comparative analysis of Li‐, Na‐, and K‐ion batteries, focusing on the critical role of electrode–electrolyte interphases. It especially highlights overlooked aspects such as SEI/CEI misconceptions, binder effects, and self‐discharge relevance, emphasizing the limitations of current understanding and offering strategies for ...

Reconfigurable Design and Optimization‐Based Control of an Integrated Leg‐Arm Robot for Space Applications With an Underactuated Body

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A quadrupedal integrated leg‐arm robot with an underactuated reconfigurable body is developed. By using a Sarrus mechanism as the body, the robot enables reconfiguration through its supporting limbs, achieving mode switching without additional actuators.

Motion and Morphology Planning for Autonomous Manipulation in Clutter With a Shape‐Shifting, Variable‐Stiffness Robot

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A hybrid mobile robot with a modular Variable‐Stiffness Bridge transitions between a rigid locomotion platform and a flexible, shape‐conforming body. By enclosing objects within its deformable structure rather than relying on dedicated end effectors, the robot achieves orientation‐regulated planar transport, with conformal contact quality shown to ...

Low‐Pressure CO2 and Aromatic Recognition by Interlayer Adaptive Crystal of π‐Hole‐Functionalized Zn(II) Coordination Sheets

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A perfluorinated Zn(II) coordination sheet operates as an interlayer adaptive crystal (LAC), where a small ultramicropore acts as an electrostatic trigger. Guest‐induced breathing driven by fluorinated π‐hole surfaces enables highly selective inclusion of CO2 over N2 and CH4, and benzene over other six‐membered hydrocarbons, beyond the intrinsic ...

Research on Diaphragm Pump Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Res‐DCB‐Net

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nonstationary pressure pulsation signals of diaphragm pumps contain strong background noise and coupled characteristics. This makes it challenging to extract incipient fault features and to decouple faults with similar physical mechanisms. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal fault diagnosis model named Res‐DCB ...

Investigation of Upper Critical Magnetic Field in Two‐Band Model for the Iron‐Based Superconductors Ca0.83La0.17FeAs2 and Ca0.8La0.2Fe0.98Co0.02As2

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A two‐band Ginzburg–Landau model was applied to investigate the superconducting properties of and. Analytical expressions for critical magnetic fields, coherence length, penetration depth, and anisotropic were derived, showing strong agreement with experimental observations and effectively describing anisotropic multi‐band superconductivity.
