Dynamic characterization of flexible slider-crank mechanisms made of laminated composites

Mechanics Research Communications, 1993
Abstract This paper presents a finite element beam formulation with application to the dynamic characterization of flexible slider-crank mechanisms made of laminated composites. The laminae are in the plane of motion as opposed to previous works. This configuration is selected to enhance the load capacity of the system.

Research of Kinematic and Dynamic Errors of Crank-Piston Mechanisms

2016
The issue of determination of errors and precision of mechanisms and machines always presents an important problem. This problem is rather urgent in machine building, agriculture machinery, food industry, instrument engineelink and other fields of industry.

Simulation of the Dynamics of a Crank Mechanism with Elastic Links

Strength of Materials, 2002
The methods for theoretical simulation of the dynamics of high-speed crank mechanisms with elastopliant links, based on the numerical integration of differential equations of a hybrid type, are proposed. Numerical studies demonstrated that the account of elastic pliability of these links as compared to the case of absolutely rigid links of an ...

Theoretical dynamic simulation software for slider crank mechanism of V8 engines

Materialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik, 2016
This paper proposes a low‐cost technique for the evaluation of the forces in a kinematic mechanism of a slider crank system and provides these results for further use. By implementing the exact equations for kinematic and dynamic analysis in an object oriented programming module under the Visual Basic Net programming package, a theoretical dynamic ...

Dynamic analysis of a slider–crank mechanism with eccentric connector and planetary gears

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 2007
Abstract In this study, the kinematic and dynamic analysis of a modified slider–crank mechanism which has an additional eccentric link between connecting rod and crank pin, as distinct from a conventional mechanism, are presented. This new extra link that may be called the eccentric connector transmits gas forces to the crank, and it also drives a ...

Synthesis of a slider-crank mechanism with consideration of dynamic effects

Journal of Mechanisms, 1970
Abstract A method of dynamic synthesis of a slider-crank mechanism to meet specified velocity conditions at three design points including the inertia effects of the masses of the main links is presented. Velocity specifications are developed assuming a constant velocity of the input crank.

Dynamics Models and Transmission Performances of a Crank Slide-Way Mechanism

2010 International Conference on E-Product E-Service and E-Entertainment, 2010
A crank slide-way mechanism is a kind of mechanisms between crank slide mechanisms and crank rocker mechanisms, the main difference is that: in the same case of taking uniform speed as input, the output is neither linear displacement nor the arc path, but a specifically curve.

Dynamic Synthesis of a Crank-Rocker Mechanism Minimizing its Joint-Forces

2019
Dynamic Joint-Forces in a mechanism produce vibration and wear, decreasing its life span. Many studies have been carried out on optimization of mechanisms dynamic behaviour; however, few of it are focused on the reduction of Joint-Forces. Therefore, this work presents a method to obtain the link lengths of Function Generation Four-Bar Linkages ...
