Diagnosis of lung cancer with E-nose

2018 26th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2018
In this work an Electronic Nose system with low cost is developed in order to analyze human breath and this system's success is tested on diagnosing lung cancer. In this Electronic Nose system, Quartz Crystal Microbalance and Metal Oxide Semiconductor gas sensors are used.

Cross-reactive Sensors (or e-Noses)

2022
An e-Nose is based on having an array of broadly tuned sensors that produce a unique response pattern when exposed to a complex mixture of chemicals, with the pattern being different when the mixture changes or new chemicals are detected. It is now applied to noninvasive screening and diagnostics of patients for many diseases, sniffing breath or bodily

Calibration transfer between e-noses

2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014
Electronic nose is an instrument which is composed of gas sensor array and pattern recognition unit. It is generally used for classifying, identifying or quantifying the odors or volatile organic components for these commonly used devices, calibration transfer is an important issue because of differences in each instrument, sensor drift, changes in ...

E-Nose System by Using Neural Networks

Neurocomputing, 2014
This paper considers a new construction of an electronic nose (E-nose) system based on a neural network. The neural network used here is a competitive neural network by the learning vector quantisation (LVQ). Various odors are measured with an array of many metal oxide gas sensors.

The E-nose for Orientation Screening in the Food Industry

2021 44th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology (ISSE), 2021
The electronic nose is one of the possible devices for determining the quality and spoilage of food. Furthermore, it can be a device, for example, for analysis of the food, determination of the manufacturing process state, or the degree of falsification of the food.

Electronic Nose (E-Nose)

2019 International Conference on Information Science and Communication Technology (ICISCT), 2019
Smell is one of the six senses of human beings and there is not a lot of work on that sense, therefore, this paper is based on that sense. It aims to develop Electronic Nose (E-Nose) that will work not only to determine the ripeness level of fruits but also to make prediction that how long they will remain in that particular stage and also the ...

Classification of different black teas with E-nose

2018 26th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2018
In this study; A low cost electronic nose circuit consisting of different sensors was used for classification of six different brewed tea. The odour of thebrewed teas are transformed into electric signal by an electronic nose circuit with eight sensors inside.

Discrimination of different fish species by E-nose

2015 38th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2015
The aim of this study is to distinguish three different types of fish which are anchovy, horse mackerel and whiting by an electronic nose. Generally, the electronic noses are composed of three units. These are sensor unit which has 8 metal oxide sensors in this study, an electronic unit and a pattern recognition unit.
