Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

Job Satisfaction Among Russian Workers [PDF]

open access: yes
Why do Russians work without wages? This paper investigates the extent to which job satisfaction and attitude toward work in general may account for the observed behavior of Russian workers. To analyze the level and determinants of job satisfaction among

Evaluation of Plasticity and Creep Parameters From Tensile Stress–Strain Data for a Range of Strain Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

Measurement of Airline Passenger Satisfaction: A Comparison of Methodology

open access: yes, 2013
Many methods exist for attempting to quantify passenger satisfaction. Perceptions of satisfaction are typically considered qualitative in nature, which has led to the development of many different methods to represent most holistically the emotions in a ...

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.
