The Impact of Magnetic Field on Insecticide Toxicity Measured by Biological and Biochemical Parameters of Earias insulana (Boisd)

Bioelectromagnetics, 2022
This study illustrates the effect of magnetic field (MF) on the toxicity of two insecticides, emamectin benzoate (Emazoate 2.15% EC) and spinosad (SpinTor 24% SC), and determines their adverse effects on the bollworm (Earias insulana) through various ...

Casting light on the potency of photosensitizing compounds to combat the spiny bollworm, Earias insulana (Biosd.)

Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection
The emergence of resistance among pests to conventional pesticides underscores the necessity for substantial efforts in identifying alternatives for managing cotton pests. So the research aimed to use the photosensitizing compounds Rose Bengal, Rhodamine

The effect of some benzoyl phenylureas on the larvae of earias insulana

Phytoparasitica, 1986
Diflubenzuron, PH 60-38, PH 6043, penfluron (PH 60-44), PH 6045, triflumuron, chlorfuazuron (IKI-7899), teflubenzuron (CME 134), XRD473 and Dowco 439 were tested for their efficacy against the larvae of the spiny bollworm,Earias insulana (Boisd.), in laboratory experiments.

Inheritance of two body color mutations of the spiny bollworm (Earias insulana)

Phytoparasitica, 1990
Reciprocal crosses in all possible combinations between the yellow-green (YG) wild line and two body color mutations — viridian-green (VG) and grayish-white (GW) — of the spiny bollworm,Earias insulana (Boisd.), indicated that these mutations were not sex-linked or controlled cytoplasmically. The YG phenotype was dominant over both body color mutations.

Responsiveness of Earias Vittella and Earias Insulana Males to their Female Sex Pheromone

International Journal of Tropical Insect Science, 1989
Influence of age, sex pheromone concentration and mating status on the response of Earias vittella and Earias insulana males to their female sex pheromone was studied using a T-shaped olfactometer. Males of both the species showed age related variation in their response to female sex pheromone and 4-day-old males were maximally responsive.
