Early-Warning Signs for Pattern-Formation in Stochastic Partial Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
There have been significant recent advances in our understanding of the potential use and limitations of early-warning signs for predicting drastic changes, so called critical transitions or tipping points, in dynamical systems.

Early Warning of Rejection? [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ, 1973
The urinary excretion of N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG), beta-galactosidase (GAL), beta-glucosidase (GLU), and alkaline phosphatase (AP) was studied in 83 patients with renal allografts. Thirty of these patients had stable graft function and their urinary enzyme levels provided a range of normal values.

Early Warning Analysis for Social Diffusion Events [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
There is considerable interest in developing predictive capabilities for social diffusion processes, for instance to permit early identification of emerging contentious situations, rapid detection of disease outbreaks, or accurate forecasting of the ...

Adaptive Complex Variational Mode Decomposition for Micro-Motion Signal Processing Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2021
In order to suppress the strong clutter component and separate the effective fretting component from narrow-band radar echo, a method based on complex variational mode decomposition (CVMD) is proposed in this paper.

Range sidelobe suppression for OFDM-integrated radar and communication signal

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
To improve the RadCom system of performing both data transmission and radar-sensing functions, here a waveform design method for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal is proposed to solve the problem of high range sidelobe level in ...

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Reference source‐aided coordinate registration method for over‐the‐horizon radar using ensemble learning

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2023
Since solving the path of radio wave propagation by an analytic method in the process of coordinate registration (CR) for skywave over‐the‐horizon radar (OTHR) is difficult, a reference source‐aided CR method that uses ensemble learning is proposed ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
