Reaction of an insect cell line to ecdysterone

Experimental Cell Research, 1971
Ecdysterone applied above the 0.1 μg/ml level to Grace's Antheraea eucalypti Scott [Austrocaligula eucalypti (Scott)] cell line increased cell volume, cell motion, the breakdown of thymidine, and the uptake and breakdown of uridine and decreased the rate of growth of the cell population and the uptake of thymidine.

Lobster molting hormones: Isolation and biosynthesis of ecdysterone

Experientia, 1974

Alterations in rat lipid metabolism following ecdysterone treatment

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1985
The influence of ecdysterone on the lipid metabolism in liver and adipose tissue from rat was investigated using 14C-acetate and 32P-orthophosphate as precursors. Ecdysterone produced an increase in 14C-acetate incorporation into triglycerides. A concomitant decrease in free fatty acids and diglycerides was observed.

The monitoring of the production of ecdysterone

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 1983
A method for monitoring the production of ecdysterone from the roots ofRhaponticum carthamoides (Willd.) and the inflorescences ofRh. integrifolium C. Winkl. is given.

Moreover, the varia- tions in protein kinase activity during the same experiment lend further support to the idea stated above: the similar trends in the variation of the kinase and cAMP ...

[Ecdysterone promotes wound healing in rabbits].

Nan fang yi ke da xue xue bao = Journal of Southern Medical University, 2008
To study the efficacy of ecdysterone in promoting wound healing in rabbits.Twenty-one New Zealand rabbits were randomized equally into 3 groups and in each rabbit, 4 separate full-thickness skin wounds were induced and treated with dexamethasone, ecdysterone and Yunnan white powder, or untreated, respectively.

[Extraction of ecdysterone from Stemmacantha uniflora].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2004
To optimize the conditions for the extraction of ecdysterone from Stemmacantha uniflora.Conditions for the extraction were studied by three different methods as guided by the content of ecdysterone and solid material that present in the extract.Methanol was the best solvent, water the second, ethanol was greatly effected by concentration.
