The complete chloroplast genome of Echinochloa haploclada [PDF]
The genus Echinochloa (Poaceae) includes orphan crops and important agricultural weeds. Here, we assembled the complete chloroplast genome of a diploid Echinochloa species (E. haploclada).

The effects of fentrazamide [4-(2-chlorophenyl)-N-cyclohexyl-N-ethyl-4,5-dihydro-5-oxo- 1H-tetrazole-1-carbox-amide] on the growth and morphology of Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Beav. and Echinochloa oryzicola Vasing. were investigated. Fentrazamide at 250 g a.i.ha -1 showed high efficacy on weeds up to the 3-leaf stage.

A five-year examination into the occurrence of herbicide-resistant barnyardgrass populations in paddy from Jiangsu Province, China [PDF]
To assess resistance situation and evolutionary risks, 510 Echinochloa populations from 13 rice-growing regions in Jiangsu Province (2018–2022) were tested against seven herbicides (penoxsulam, quinclorac, cyhalofop-butyl, bispyribac-sodium, pretilachlor,

Fecundity and Seed Dormancy Variation Within and Among Echinochloa Species
The Echinochloa genus contains two of the world's top five worst weeds. The persistence and weediness of Echinochloa spp. are partly due to its seed longevity and variable seed dormancy.
