We have isolated five endophytic fungi from the roots of Capsicum annuum, Cucumis sativus and Glycine max. The culture filtrates (CF) of these endophytes were screened on dwarf mutant rice (Waito-C) and normal rice (Dongjin-byeo).

Napropamide is a chiral acetamide herbicide commonly applied to control Echinochloa crus-galli in maize. The inhibition effect may be enantioselective for Echinochloa crus-galli and maize. It may also be affected by the potential allelopathy at field condition.

Abstract Barnyardgrass [Echinochloa crus‐galli (L.) P. Beauv.] is the most problematic weed of delayed‐flooded rice (Oryza sativa L.) systems in the mid‐southern United States. Recent findings suggest that acetochlor can achieve effective barnyardgrass control in rice, but rice injury can occur with rainfall soon after application.
