Wpływ warunków wilgotnościowych na średnie pokrycie Echinochloa crus-galli w zasiewach zbóż jarych
W pracy przedstawiono analizę zróżnicowania średniego pokrycia Echinochloa crus-galli w zasiewach zbóż jarych w zależności od uwilgotnienia siedliska. Badania przeprowadzono w latach 2011–2013 w 8 gminach w powiatach: siedleckim, sokołowskim, łosickim i ...

Abstract The International Weed Genomics Consortium (IWGC) has sequenced and annotated the genomes of over 30 weed species, generating genomic resources to understand their biology, evolution, and adaptation. The objective of this study was to evaluate the semi‐automated, isoform sequencing (Iso‐seq)‐based, IWGC genome annotation pipeline by ...

Silage maize is an important arable crop in Germany. Echinochloa crus-galli is one of the main weed species in this crop. Herbicide treatment, a common practice by conventional maize farmers to control this weed, may cause many negative impacts on non ...

Cirsium arvense management with electrical weed control and clopyralid
Electrical weed control (EWC) treatments reduced Cirsium arvense biomass by ≤95% and suppressed new shoot emergence by 70–95%, achieving control comparable to clopyralid. Sequential or integrated applications enhanced efficacy, demonstrating EWC's potential as a nonchemical tool for perennial weed management in orchard systems.

Fendioxypyracil, a new and systemic PPO‐inhibiting herbicide for X‐spectrum weed control
This graphical abstract presents the discovery and synthesis of PPO herbicide structures with a central pyridine core, showing molecular conformations, dose–response inhibition curves for PPO1 and PPO2, and comparative weed and grass control efficacy of fendioxypyracil versus other herbicides in greenhouse and field trials.

Seed Floras in Seabird Nests and the Possibility of Adhesion to Seabird Feathers via Their Nests
Nests are important links between seabirds and plants, and are thought to initiate epizoochory of seabirds. 24 seed species were found in pelagic seabird nests, and 16 species of them had the potential to adhere to seabirds. Our finding indicates an overlooked pathway for the long distance dispersal of plants; epizoochory mediated by nests.
