An EDXRF study of the photodecomposition of diorganyl ditellurides

Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2006
Abstract An EDXRF set-up has been used to generate mechanistic information on the photolytic and physicochemical events leading to deposition of free elements from various diorganyl ditellurides in different solvents and in a microemulsion system. The method is characterized by the use of 59.54 keV γ-rays as a monoenergetic radiation source and the ...

EDXRF Spectroscopy of Ink-jet Materials

2005
Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorecsence (EDXRF) spectroscopy represent a qualitative analysis of the ash-samples. This method enables us to determine concentrations of elements in the ashes (Pb, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Co). Ash-samples were prepared from several different papers and also from Ink-Jet prints made on the same ...

Determination of phosphorus in waste water by EDXRF

Fresenius' Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 1992
In a method developed for the determination of phosphorus in aqueous solutions, phosphorus was changed to the phosphate form, coprecipitated with hydrated iron(III) oxide, bound with activated charcoal and measured by EDXRF. The detection limit was 0.89 mg P/g activated charcoal.

Capabilities of elemental analysis by EDXRF for geochemistry

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2007
Elemental analyses of 10 geological samples from Morocco and some Standard Reference Materials were performed by Energy Dispersion X-Rays Fluorescence, Wavelength Dispersion X-Rays Fluorescence and Neutron Activation Analysis techniques in order to assess the accuracy and sensitivity of the concentrations determined with regard to requirements in ...

EDXRF studies on Chinese Yue ware

X-Ray Spectrometry, 2002
Abstract Abstract The major and trace element composition of Chinese Yue ware, widely recognized as the earliest Chinese porcelain (probably the earliest worldwide), is analysed using non‐destructive, energy‐dispersive x‐ray fluorescence (EDXRF).

Fit of EDXRF spectra with a genetic algorithm

X-Ray Spectrometry, 2001
Abstract In energy‐dispersive x‐ray fluorescence analysis, the estimation of the net area of the peaks is a primary requirement. This task requires a non‐linear fitting of the peaks. The most common procedures are based on the Marquardt– Levenberg technique. This technique generally works well only when the spectrum is perfectly known,

Study of Lead Pollution by Edxrf Analysis

Spectroscopy Letters, 1999
Abstract Energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis is applied to determine lead pollution from various locations near the highway of Ankara - Istanbul. In this proposed study, a complete optimization including sampling, homogeneity, particle size, critical thickness, measurement geometry for analysis of soils and plants is carried out.

Determination of chromium(VI) by the EDXRF method

2004
A rapid, sensitive and selective procedure for determination of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) in environmental and industrial liquid samples via preconcentration with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) and determination by means of the EDXRF was described.
