Filtered colimits in the effective topos

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2006
The effective topos \({\mathcal E}ff\) is defined in the article of \textit{J. M. E. Hyland} [``The effective topos'', in: The L. E. J. Brouwer Centen. Symp., Proc. Conf., Noordwijkerhout/ Holl. 1981, Stud. Logic Found. Math. 110, 165--216 (1982; Zbl 0522.03055)]. Roughly speaking, the objects of this topos are effective sets (i.e., pairs \((X_0,=_X)\),

Synergistic Effect in Solvent Extraction—Effect of the Chelating Ligands on the Stability of Lutetium Mixed Chelates with β-Diketones and Their Adducts with TOPO— [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1970
Abstract The effect of the chelating ligands on the stability of mixed chelates of lutetium with β-diketones and the stability of their adducts with TOPO in benzene was studied by extracting lutetium with mixtures of two β-diketones, benzoylacetone (BzA) and dibenzoylmethane (DBM), and benzoylacetone and benzoyltrifluoroacetone (BFA), in

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Effect of anions in commercial phosphoric acid on the extraction of uranium by DEHPA /TOPO

open access: yesPeriodica Polytechnica Chemical Engineering, 2011
Extraction of uranium from commercial phosphoric acid by DEHPA/TOPO process is a well-developed process on the commercial and pilot plant scale. Commercial phosphoric acid contains certain anions such as Cl^-, F^- and SO_4^2- in varying concentrations. The presence of such anions could have a negative effect on the extraction process.

Real‐World Safety and Effectiveness of JAK Inhibitors in Systemic Sclerosis: A Propensity‐Matched Study From the EUSTAR Cohort

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective JAK inhibitors (JAKi) have shown promising effects in early‐phase studies of systemic sclerosis (SSc). We aimed to assess the safety and explore the effectiveness of JAKi compared to conventional immunosuppressants in SSc. Methods A longitudinal retrospective study of the European Scleroderma Trials and Research Group (EUSTAR) cohort was ...

Toward the effective 2-topos

open access: yesMathematical Structures in Computer Science
Abstract A candidate for the effective 2-topos is proposed and shown to include the effective 1-topos as its subcategory of 0-types.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Diverse Landscape of Tunable Magnetic, Topological, and Ferroelectric States in 2D Ti3Se3Te2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ti3Se3Te2 emerges as a multifunctional 2D van der Waals platform. The monolayer is a dynamically stable ferromagnetic quantum anomalous Hall insulator. In bilayers, two stacking configurations yield distinct phases: AA‐stacking hosts an altermagnetic quantum spin Hall insulator, while AA′‐stacking exhibits three‐state in‐plane ferroelectricity ...

Palatable‐Food–Driven Top‐Down Circuit Inhibits PVNCRF Activity to Mitigate Stress Via Peri‐PVNCRFR1 Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Palatable food alleviates stress and prevents anxiety. This study uncovers a dedicated neural pathway: dopamine release in the PFC activates D1R neurons, whose projections to the peri‐PVN engage a population of anxiolytic CRFR1 neurons. These neurons then inhibit stress‐induced hyperactivity of PVNCRF neurons, providing a circuit‐level explanation for ...
