Width of the longitudinal magnon in the vicinity of the O(3) quantum critical point

open access: yes, 2011
We consider a three-dimensional quantum antiferromagnet in the vicinity of a quantum critical point separating the magnetically ordered and the magnetically disordered phases.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

An effective rolling process of magnesium alloys for suppressing edge cracks: Width-limited rolling

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys, 2022
To suppress the edge crack of the magnesium alloy sheet during the ordinary rolling process, a new rolling process named width-limited rolling was proposed in this paper.

Nonperturbative QCD Contributions to the Semileptonic Decay Width of the B Meson [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Nonperturbative QCD contributions to the inclusive semileptonic decay of the B meson consist of the dynamic and kinematic components. We calculate the decay width in an approach based on the light-cone expansion and the heavy quark effective theory ...

Finite pion width effects on the rho-meson [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2001
We study the influence of the finite damping width of pions on the in-medium properties of the rho-meson in an interacting meson gas model at finite temperature. Using vector dominance also implications on the resulting dilepton spectra from the decay of the rho-meson are presented.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

The Minimal Model of a Diphoton Resonance: Production without Gluon Couplings

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the phenomenology of a resonance that couples to photons but not gluons, and estimate its production rate at the LHC from photon-photon fusion in elastic pp scattering using the effective photon and narrow width approximations.

Finite width effects in Higgs boson decays as a means of measuring massive particle widths [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1996
We calculate decays of a Standard Model Higgs boson to a virtual massive particle and discuss how this depends on the massive particle total width. If the partial width of Higgs to a virtual massive particle can be measured this gives a measurement of that massive particle's width.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Preliminary lattice study of $\sigma$ meson decay width

open access: yes, 2012
We report an exploratory lattice investigation of $\sigma$ meson decay width using s-wave scattering phase for isospin I=0 pion-pion ($\pi\pi$) system. Rummukainen-Gottlieb formula is used to estimate the scattering phase, which demonstrate the presence ...
