A preliminary results of integrated chemotherapy with EGFR receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors in patients with non-small-cell-lung cancer harboring EGFR mutation

open access: yesМедицинский совет, 2019
In the open prospective non-randomized single-center study we recruited patients with advanced NSCLC harboring EGFR mutations. Initially there were two months of treatment by gefitinib 250 mg daily.

Analysis of Intratumor Heterogeneity of EGFR Mutations in Mixed Type Lung Adenocarcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor mutations are predictive of the success of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor treatment in patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Transient changes in serum renalase concentration during long-distance running: The case of an amateur runner under continuous training

open access: yesJournal of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine, 2017
Renalase is a recently discovered flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD)-dependent soluble monoamine oxidase. It is expressed principally in the kidney, but its expression in the heart, brain, and skeletal muscle has also been confirmed.

Profile of the therascreen (R) EGFR RGQ PCR kit as a companion diagnostic for gefitinib in non-small cell lung cancer

open access: yes, 2017
Introduction: Gefitinib is recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a first-line treatment for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients harboring EGFR mutations.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

EGFR-TKIs resistance via EGFR-independent signaling pathways [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Cancer, 2018
Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs)-treatments bring significant benefit for patients harboring epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations, especially for those with lung cancer. Unfortunately, the majority of these patients ultimately develop to the acquired resistance after a period of treatment.
