Abstract CALVERY 1 has shown that the protein of egg shell membranes has the amino acid composition of a typical keratin. An additional protein exists in the mineral portion of the shell and appears to serve as a matrix in which the inorganic salts are imbedded (Nathusius 2 ).

Unraveling the Physicochemical Landscape of Organoselenium Compounds in Nanocarrier Systems
Main nanocarriers employed to enhance the bioavailability and transport of organoselenium compounds. The image illustrates the key interaction forces that stabilize these organoselenium species in solution, enabling their application in drug delivery systems, catalysis, photoelectronic devices, and sensing technologies. In recent years, publications on

ABSTRACT Freshwater turtles are valuable sentinels of aquatic systems due to their long lifespans and resilience in environments impacted by contaminants. The Permian Basin, dominated by the oil and gas sector, spans western Texas and southeastern New Mexico, USA, including the Pecos River and its tributaries, the Delaware and Black Rivers.

Thyme Essential Oil and Hyaluronic Acid as Natural Disinfectant Alternatives for Broiler Breeder Fertile Eggs: Effects on Eggshell Microbial Load, Embryonic Viability and Hatchability. [PDF]
Natural eggshell sanitation using thyme essential oil reduced microbial contamination and lipid peroxidation while improving embryo viability and hatchability in stored broiler breeder fertile eggs. These findings support thyme essential oil as a promising residue‐free alternative for hatchery egg sanitation.

ABSTRACT Of the many pollutants wildlife is exposed to, mercury ranks among the most toxic. In birds, mercury does not only accumulate within generations, but also is transferred across generations via maternal offloading in eggs, with higher mercury concentrations found in shells of unhatched eggs.
