Adsorption of heavy metal with modified eggshell membrane and the in situ synthesis of Cu–Ag/modified eggshell membrane composites [PDF]
The objectives of this study were to remove heavy metals from wastewater through the biosorption method with modified biomass as an effective sorbent and to prepare metal/biomass composites with the same modified biomass as a direct template. Eggshell membrane (ESM) was selected and modified to adsorb heavy metals. Adsorption of metal ions

Hatching eggs possess multiple physical and chemical barriers that limit microbial invasion; however, the role of the eggshell membrane in shaping late-stage embryonic and early post-hatch gastrointestinal (GI) microbiota remains poorly understood.

Abstract BACKGROUND Maintaining the internal quality and functional properties of shell eggs during storage remains a critical challenge for the egg industry. Non‐thermal technologies such as ultrasound (US) and electrolyzed water (EW) have attracted attention due to their potential to enhance microbial safety and quality preservation.

The functional response describes how predator acquisition rates change with prey availability and integrates behavioural processes that occur during predator–prey encounters. Among these processes, prey detection represents a critical yet often overlooked component that can directly influence population dynamics. Variation in detection probability has

Traits of eggshells and shell membranes of translucent eggs
Translucent eggshells negatively affect the appearance of eggs and decrease their economic value. Translocation and accumulation of water from the contents to the shells of eggs are frequent occurrences. Causes of translucent eggshell formation have been investigated, but the primary reason is uncertain.

ABSTRACT Of the many pollutants wildlife is exposed to, mercury ranks among the most toxic. In birds, mercury does not only accumulate within generations, but also is transferred across generations via maternal offloading in eggs, with higher mercury concentrations found in shells of unhatched eggs.

White Isthmus Transcriptome Analysis Reveals the Mechanism of Translucent Eggshell Formation
The presence of translucent eggshells is a type of egg quality issue that impacts egg sales. While many researchers have studied them, the exact mechanisms behind their formation remain unclear.

Biodiesel Production from Hevea brasiliensis Seeds: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT The Hevea brasiliensis (HB) species, also called the rubber tree, is currently cultivated worldwide for the extraction of latex, an input for rubber production. In addition, its seeds currently have few productive applications, despite their high oil content.
